Two Supreme Teams, One Superior Product

The relationship between Vermeer and Lely goes back to the eighties, when Lely began supplying disc mower cutter bars for Vermeer products. This relationship has since developed into several shared product opportunities between the two companies and a joint acquisition of the German agricultural baler manufacturer Welger Maschinenfabrik GmbH.

In 2011, Lely USA opened a new production facility for their dairy equipment located on the Vermeer campus in Pella, Iowa to help meet the North American dairy producers’ growing demand for robotic milking, feed and animal care innovations.

Today, both companies are pleased to announce the success of combining engineering and creative resources. The new Vermeer Mower Conditioner line is the result of bringing these two leading engineering teams together.

Success of this collaborative effort will bring true value to forage customers worldwide. When two innovators from across the globe and with over 100 years of combined experience work together to find solutions in the forage industry, it’s no wonder they’re able to produce such quality forage equipment. The power of these two family-owned, ag-based companies has created a strong alliance relationship that is able to compete with the other key equipment manufacturers of the world and will continue to do so into the future.
